Pyrite Persian Blue Turquoise Butterfly Hoop Earrings

Butterfly and flower decorated turquoise hoop earrings.

The vibrant blue turquoise is Persian Blue Turquoise that formed with the gray/silver pyrite flecks within. When Turquoise combines with natural Pyrite in nature, it gives rise to this beautiful combination crystal. Persian turquoise has always been highly valued for its unique shade and quality, resulting in a higher turquoise price than other varieties. This rare stone is no longer mined, making it a coveted luxury.

I used a twisted metal wire for this project, then handsawed and stamped a butterfly and flower for each hoop. Sterling silver was used. Oxidized for details and then polished.

Smaller hoops are about 1″, with turquoise dropping down a little further making it a tad bit longer.
